Today we made Mexican Sandwiches with Tortillas.
We used the same tomato mix as yesterday but without meat.
I saw tortillas in a countdown package, it looked like it was vacuum sealed into the bag.
I got moved to a closer table with my same group.
We cooked the sandwiches on a pan on a stove.
You would exactly flip the tortilla sandwich just like a pancake. The tortilla sandwiches were beautiful.
It had a nice warm bite to it.
The cheese melted on the tortilla and you could really taste the cheese.

Science of Mars

We watched a video made by Astronaut Chris Hadfield and we got a question. Here is the question and my answer.

Q: What happens to a wet wash cloth in space?

A: Chris Hadfield put water on a cloth towel. The cloth absorbed the water and when Chris Hadfield went and squished the wet cloth the water got stuck on his hands. The reason why it sticks to your hands is because of Surface Tension.

Preserving meat - Scientific Method

Hello everyone!. Today and a few weeks ago we worked on a scientific method list. I choose Freeze drying. Me and Shanaya worked together on a few things.

Freeze Drying Meat

Aim : The aim is to freeze dry meat so we can preserve it so it last longer.

Prediction : We predict that freezing dry the meat will remove all the juice and moisture from the meat.

Equipment :
  • Deep Freezer
  • Cookie sheet
  • beef/steak meat

Method
You are going to freeze dry the meat by putting it in a deep freezer or a normal freezer and putting your meat on a cooking tray and placing it in the freezer.

Process ( Instructions )
Grab your cooking tray.
Place your meat on the cooking tray..
Get your meat that's on the cooking tray and put it in the freezer.

Prediction
I think that it's going to be frozen and make it last longer so it won't mould and you don’t have to throw it out.

Results
The results are that it will freeze the meat and make it last longer.

Discussion

We say that it will freeze and stop it from getting  mouldy so fast.

What is the point of freeze dry? : The point  of freeze drying is to preserve it so it will last longer.

How does it stop it from getting mouldy so fast? It's frozen. like pausing time but freezing meat.
