On the 4th of October 2005 what did Collingwood become?
New Zealand's first plastic-bag-free town
*New Zealanders use around three million plastic bags each day.
*At Least half of the litter blown from landfills is some kind of plastic mostly plastic bag.
*The average New Zealand family has collected sixty bags after just four trips to the supermarket.
*Plastic fills 20% of New Zealand's landfill
*Every year New Zealand uses 4 million plastic bags a year.
Help Solve the plastic problem.
If people in New Zealand used cloth and paper bags there wouldn’t be as much of a plastic problem in New Zealand and it would cut down the number of plastic bags used in a year if New Zealand used other bags than plastic.
